You certainly wouldn’t want a scareware like Antivirus Soft running in your computer system. This fake anti-spyware program is nothing more than a lowly scam. After being downloaded via treacherous trojans from fake online scanners or malicious online freebies like video codecs or Flashplayer updates, Antivirus Soft will take control of various parts of your system.
Expect this wily malware to invade your Windows system registry and create random files in the system folders. All this is done in preparation for its more elaborate gimmicks like pop-up alerts and system scans – all of which are fake, of course. You can even expect some of your programs to freeze and your browsers (especially Internet Explorer) to display warnings that you just visited a malicious site.
Again, all of these are just manifestations of a Antivirus Soft infection. Its ultimate objective is to trick you into purchasing a “full version” which it alleges to impart “maximum protection”. Naturally, this is not true. Purchasing the so-called “full version” will even leave you vulnerable to identity thieves after you reveal your credit card information.
Take immediate action if you notice the presence of Antivirus Soft in your system. The steps to manually removing it is tedious but it’s definitely better than having Antivirus Soft running in your computer.
Symptoms Of Infection
- Your computer is acting slow. Antivirus Soft slow down your system significantly. This includes starting up, shutting down, playing games, and surfing the web.
- You are getting pestered with pop ups. Antivirus Soft infects your registry and uses it to launch annoying pop up ads out of nowhere.
- Searches are redirected or your homepage and desktop are settings are changed. This is a symptom of a very serious Antivirus Soft infection.
Dangers Of Infection
Viruses like Antivirus Soft will infect your registry and other important system files. If the infection is not treated it can cause a complete collapse of your system.

Some Antivirus Soft infections contain spyware and keyloggers which can be used to record sensitive data like passwords, credit card, bank account, and social security numbers. The longer you allow the infection to fester, the greater the chance of identity fraud.
