One day, you open your computer and find that you have a brand new anti-spyware app called Security Master AV. While wondering who installed it, suddenly it flashes a virus alert! “Warning! Virus detected” Another pop-up it might sprout is “Warning! Identity theft attempt detected” Oh no! You computer is infected!

- Download Spyware Doctor and save to your Desktop (if you cannot download then bookmark this page and skip to Step 3 to restore your internet)
- Rename the file iexplorer.exe
- Restart your Computer in Safe Mode with Networking (keep tapping F8 while your system boots up)
- Launch Internet Explorer, click on Tools and then Internet Options.
- Click on the Connections tab and select LAN Options
- Uncheck the box Use a Proxy Server For Your LAN and click OK
- Launch iexplorer.exe (Spyware Doctor)
- Update Malware Definitions and click Start Scan
- Click the Fix Checked button and remove Security Master AV

Symptoms Of Infection

Yes just run a scan and remove the infected files. Make sure you REBOOT after removing the virus. Some malicious items can only be removed after rebooting.

Make sure you rename Spyware Doctor. Follow the instructions above. Restart in Safe Mode and then try scanning again.

I've used this software last week for virus scan and it found some viruses which i didnt notice at all. Thank god, it can detect those viruses or else my password and username may be stolen because i've ever heard about some keylogger activities undetected by common antivirus.
