Shield Deluxe 2010 is the rogue malware version of a legitimate antivirus application that runs on the BitDefender antivirus engine. Even the lackluster original version would be better than this malware since that one actually does clean your computer up a bit. This fake version, however, will do no such thing.
It will merely throw up pop-ups announcing that your computer is infected by a host of nasty viruses and Trojans. In reality, those are just fakes, placed there by Shield Deluxe 2010 to scare you into purchasing an updated version that supposedly will clean your system of those malware.
If you’re thinking of spending your hard-earned cash for that, don’t! You’ll get nothing in return since it’s all a scam. You’re better off removing the app and preventing any more unintended intrusions into your PC. Since it was able to enter your computer, who knows what else can get in?
